Meanwhile, Jenna Frumes has it out for her ex Jason Derulo.
She then defended herself and fired off a series of accusations against Derulo. “I wouldn’t call myself a W-E,” she wrote on June 30. “It’s unfortunate that my situation didn’t work out because we wanted to be married at one point, but maybe it’s better to be single than to be in a relationship and constantly disrespected, cheated on and lied to. Approximately an hour later, Frumes, who split from Derulo in 2021, clarified her relationship status in a new Instagram story. “Women really don’t deserve to be treated and judged the way they are. No one aspires to be a single mom,” she wrote. “It breaks my heart personally and I fail at knowing I’m alone in this…. But when your non-negotiables are put to the test, you will never find peace in this relationship.”
Although she wanted her family to stay together, she said she felt she was the only one trying to make that happen. “If a man wants to choose a different girl over his family every week, I will never accept that…we will never be able to make it ‘happy,'” the 28-year-old continued. “I was told directly to ‘turn the other cheek.’ I will never agree to share a lover I love with all my heart!!!”
“If the road comes first, I can’t change that, so stop blaming women as if we chose life as a single mom,” Frumes wrote. “This is annoying as hell. You don’t know what women go through to try to make it ‘work.’ It was never about money or meeting someone famous…. I was in love and we were planning a baby and a life together! It didn’t work out and life has to go on. Leave me alone.”
Last May, the two fueled speculation that they might get back together when they were photographed jet skiing in Miami.
Last November, the singer commented on their relationship together.
“We don’t care if we are confusing people with our situation, because our situation is our situation,” he told People at the time. “We love [our son] more than anything, and his well-being is really important to us. I’m also very concerned about her well-being and want her to be okay. I care about her a lot. We have a great relationship, contrary to what many people would think.
